Kodak printer EPS7 A4 All In One multifunction Inkjet
OK folks, I want to tell you about my attempt to save money, the planet...After much research and procrastination I decided to replace my great HP 6500 printer with a new Kodak printer. Why? For no other reason than to save money on ink. I was spending about $75 each time I had to replace ink cartridges for my HP printer.
I opted for the Kodak EPS7 A4 All In One multifunction Inkjet printer. Reviews were great and the cost of ink was very low, much lower than for the HP. The reason I went with this model was so that I could get the wireless feature, which is great!
So I made my order through Amazon.com and within a few days I had a nice shiny printer hooked up and ready to go...or so I thought. After 4 hours of trouble shooting I ascertained that I had to send back the brand new - defective Kodak EPS7 A4 All In One multifunction Inkjet! Son of a bitch! I ordered a new one, sent in my old on and I was back in business within 3 days, what a pain in the ass. I will say however that amazon.com was great through the whole process.
So now I had my new printer all set up and ready too go. I printed my 1st document and I thought the thing was going to take off for Vegas. Holy cow this printer is loud! Not only that it cycles for what seems to be an eternity, really 30-50 seconds, very annoying. Now to print the envelope for my document. After looking for a feed point for envelopes for some time, I resorted to the online help files to figure out how to print envelopes. Hummmmm, pull out the paper tray, take out all of the paper, put in an envelope, adjust the paper guides and print. Are you fricking kidding!! Granted Kodak got it right with the business plan, grab market share with cheap ink, but for Pete's sake make a printer that is functional!!!!
So today I use my shiny new Kodak EPS7 A4 All In One multifunction Inkjet printer for all of my printing needs, saving tons of money on ink, and it sits right on my desk next to my HP 6500 for which I use solely for printing envelopes!!
Kodak needs to regoup fast if they want to fix this marketing blunder!
This sounds like a pain. I was looking to get a printer but now I have some other things to consider.
